David L. Boren Awards for International Study

If you are a Boren alumni or a current Boren recipient who enjoys writing about your experience abroad, please share it with us.  Boren Awards is constantly looking for submissions from Boren Scholars and Fellows to share in our newsletter and on our website.  Simply scan or fax the Publicity Release Form and email your submissions to boren@iie.org

In addition, Transitions Abroad hosts an annual student writing contest for all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, students who have graduated within the past year, and students currently on leave from school.  For this year's contest, the winning student submission will be awarded $500 in cash, the second place winner will be awarded $150, and the third place winner $100.  In addition, the winners will be featured in the April TransitionsAbroad.com webzine dedicated to study abroad and educational travel.  Runner-up winners will be awarded $50 and will also be published on TransitionsAbroad.com.

Boren Awards is always accepting photo and essay submissions.  However, the Transitions Abroad contest deadline is March 1, 2010.
