will.i.am Supports U.S.-China Educational and Cultural ExchangesAugust 14, 2011
Black Eyed Pea's will.i.am will be directing a concert in Beijing later this year to celebrate U.S.-China educational and cultural exchanges. The concert will benefit Obama's 100,000 Strong Initiative, which is an effort by the U.S. government to send more American students abroad to study Chinese language and culture.
The concert will include performances by will.i.am and other American and Chinese pop stars. The funds raised by the concert will be used to continue supporting and operating study abroad programs in China for American students.
The State Department recently issued a press release about will.i.am's Beijing concert. To read more about the concert and view a photo of will.i.am with Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, please click here.
