College of Charleston Students Receive Numerous Awards

The College of Charleston had more than 30 students receive nationally competitive awards during 2010-2011, including one Boren Scholarship.  Caroline Horres received a Boren Scholarship to study in Amman, Jordan from June through December 2010.  Caroline is a senior political science major. Boren Scholar Wins Truman Scholarship

Kimberly Everett, a junior at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Boren Scholar, has been selected to receive a Truman Scholarship.  Kimberly received a Boren Scholarship to study Mandarin and the Chinese economy and is currently studying in China.  UAB News recently published an article about Kimberly's success and future plans.  Read the complete article .
