Undergraduate students at UW applying for the Boren Scholarship are required to apply by the UW on-campus deadline noted below. This deadline applies to all undergraduate students planning to study abroad at any point from June 2012-May 2013. The Boren Scholarship Program requires all applicants to participate in a campus interview as part of their application process. UW campus interviews will be held in late January 2012. Graduate students at UW applying for the Boren Graduate Fellowship need only apply by the national deadline. There is no campus interview. Please contact Helene Obradovich (noted below) for further information and assistance.

UW Student Receives Scholarship
Jul 15, 2010

Daetan Huck, a junior at the University of Washington, was awarded a Boren Scholarship to study Arabic at the American University of Cairo during the 2010-11 academic year.  Daetan is majoring in Near Eastern Languages and Civilization and minoring in Turkish and Arabic.  He is also a United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate.
