MES Doctoral Student Kim Guiler Wins Boren Fellowship for International Study

University of Texas graduate student and Boren Fellowship awardee, Kim Guiler, will travel to Turkey this fall for one year. Guiler will use her Boren funding to study Turkish, as well as to conduct doctoral research with Bogaziçi University on voting preferences in the Middle East. LBJ Student to Study Energy Development Strategies in Japan

Savin Ven Johnson, a student at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, was awarded a Boren Fellowship. Jeff Abadie, a student in the Arabic Language Flagship Program at the University of Texas at Austin, has received a 2011-2012 Boren Scholarship.  Jeff will participate in the Arabic Language Flagship Program overseas which includes intensive Arabic language study and an internship.
