USC students interested in applying for the Boren must submit rough drafts of their essays to Sarah Langston (langston@sc.edu) or Margaret Perkins (mperkins@sc.edu) by November 14, 2011. Additional supplemental documents will be required by Friday, December 2, 2011. Students will complete on-campus interviews in January 2012.
There will be a Boren Scholarship Workshop for interested students on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 3:30pm in Legare 321.

USC Student Receives Boren Scholarship A student from the University of South Carolina (USC), Kathryn Miles, has been awarded a 2012 Boren Scholarship to study in Nanjing, China. Kathryn is currently a junior and is earning majors in dance performance and political science. She plans to study Chinese language and culture at Nanjing University for the academic year. William Brown started studying Russian while in high school and, after a year at the University of South Carolina (USC), he enlisted in the Army Reserve.
