Mercyhurst University has Second Awardee

Domenic Vallone, who is studying applied intelligence at Mercyhurst University, received a Boren Fellowship to study Swahili in Tanzania. He will participate in the African Foreign Languages Initiative  and hopes to attain proficiency while abroad. Two Georgetown University (GU) students, Valerie Oliphant and Amanda Lanzillo, have been awarded 2011 Boren Awards to study critical languages and cultures abroad.
