NSEP Service Requirement 1996/97 - 2004/05
The following describes the NSEP service requirement in effect from 1996/97 - 2004/05. Applicants and award recipients for subsequent years should see their particular service requirement for more information.
Service Agreement
All recipients of NSEP awards must seek employment with a federal agency or office involved in national security affairs. If, after making a good faith effort, you are unsuccessful in identifying federal employment with national security responsibilities, you can fulfill the requirement through work in the field of U.S. higher education in an area of study for which the scholarship or fellowship was awarded.
